so it’s a strange tradition that ian and i have that we spend our wedding anniversary in the hospital. on our 1st anniversary, ian woke up with a bout of viral vertigo and we spent the day in the ER. on our 2nd anniversary, chewie got food poisoning, barfed and pooped all over our house so we took him to the animal hospital. on our 3rd anniversary, fearing it was my turn to go to the hospital, we spent it flying to paris because my logic was that there are no hospitals in the sky. on our 4th anniversary, covid sent everyone to the hospital so we hid from the world. this year, on our 5th anniversary, we welcomed our darling baby girl into the world.
this room gives me all the feels 🥰. for the first year or so, it sat as our dumping ground for construction debris. then came time for it to get a fresh coat of paint, some flooring and baseboards. and then, it sat for another year, waiting for its future occupant to make an appearance. luckily, it just needs to wait another 3 months for it to be filled with lots of joy, laughter, and poopy diapers.
afternoon nap 😴
and just like that friends, these cabinets just went from boxes sitting on the ground to looking ~built in~. i’ll do all the caulking and stuff when i finish the bookshelves. ahhhh so excited to see my vision come to life!
so this is what my bed looks like 99% of the time because every morning when i try to be a good kid and make my bed, chewie thanks me for tucking him in 🤦🏻♀️
wanted - tips on how to get a 80lb dog off my new couch. because clearly taking photos of him is just feeding into his ego.
