This recipe makes my heart soar. Ever since we adopted Chewie 2 years ago, we have spoiled him to pieces with toys, treats, and lots of hugs. Recently, I decided to tackle the task of making Chewie his very own dog treats. I know he loves having bananas and peanut butter in his Kongs, so I wanted to make a treat that he loves, and I know is good for him.
For this task, I figured the fewer ingredients the better. Also for a healthier option, I decided to use oats instead of flour to make these biscuits. I also decided to make these super simple and easy, a true one-bowl (or one food processor) recipe to make prep and cleanup a breeze.

Peanut Butter Dog Treats
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In a food processor, pulse oats until it resemble fine crumbs. Take out about 1/3 cup of ground oats and set aside. Add banana and peanut butter into food processor. Pulse until combined and has the consistency of cookie dough.
- Sprinkle 1/3 cup oats on work surface. Roll out dough until it is around 1/4″ thick. Use any cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Place on Silpat or parchment paper. Bake in preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until mostly dried to the touch. It will continue to harden as it cools.
