Happy Lenten Season! This year, I’m giving up coffee, and the withdrawal symptoms are already kicking in! Luckily, I have tea occasionally so it is definitely a lot more tolerable. I recently bought chai tea bags and I wanted to make chai tea lattes, just like the ones they sell at coffee shops. I’ve come up with a recipe that I truly enjoy, cup after cup. I hope you enjoy this recipe as well :)
Prep time: 5 minutes
– 1 chai tea bag
– 1/3 cup hot water
– 3/4 cup soy milk (regular milk is fine as well)
– 1/2 tsp honey
– 1/2 tsp sugar
1. Steep the chai tea bag in the hot water for 5-6 minutes.
2. Heat the soy milk until hot, over stovetop or in a microwave for 1 minute.
3. Pour the brewed chai tea in the steamed soy milk. Stir in honey and sugar.
